Job Summary: 

Under the supervision of the Vice President, Network Technology a successful employee will have the opportunity to have hands-on access and maintain the lab testing environment performing tests on new products and integrations, performs regression testing on new software for current products, delivering updates on the current product lines roadmaps, and documenting best practices in playbooks for support and deployment scenarios. The role will gain industry knowledge by engaging with engineering operations, sales engineering, and technical support teams. A successful employee will also have the opportunity to making contributions to appropriate business and product solutions offerings by performing research and developing new ecosystem solutions and services that will help to further define the Allbridge technology solutions for all markets.

Typically, a successful employee will have 1-3 years wireless networking, switch, and router experience in a professional work environment. Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge of wireless networking, VOIP and IPTV, regression testing, and effectively documenting best practices in playbooks.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: 

With supervision, have hands-on access and maintain the lab testing environment performing tests on new products and integrations, performs regression testing on new software for current products, delivering updates on the current product lines roadmaps, and documenting best practices in playbooks for support and deployment scenarios. Maintain backups of all current lab configurations on a weekly basis or after every major update.

  • Perform all current lab configuration backups as required and directed.
  • As directed, analyze and compare cost, overall value, ease of use, and interoperability of current products.
  • On a day-to-day basis determine lab needs by collaborating with engineering operations, sales engineering, and technical support teams.
  • As needed, assist in demos or workshops to support sales engineering, sales, or project activities.
  • Provide documentation on product feature comparisons, product features list for each vendor’s line, implementation, and support playbooks.
  • Provide QA of new software and firmware releases with regression testing, providing bug feedback and updated playbooks.
  • As directed and needed, evaluate, and operationalize new product opportunities, manage escalations for operations or support and make contributions to appropriate business and product solutions offerings by performing research and developing new ecosystem solutions and services that will help to further define the Allbridge technology solutions for all markets.
  • Perform best-in-class vendor partner solutions and product lines that complement or enhance our current solution offerings (e.g., products and services).

  • Must remain flexible to travel to support various project needs on a limited basis.

Metrics and Objectives: 

  • Create and maintain playbooks for deployment and support of all current product lines.
  • Establish a significant network of manufacturers and vendor partners to work closely with on best practices and testing.
  • Ensure QA is being performed on a regular basis to ensure all GA software from vendors is tested internally before deployment to customers.
  • Ensure we are applying and adding best-in-class features to our deployments with all Albridge’s current technologies
  • Ensure all lab equipment is up/running and accessible for other team members.

Required Qualifications:  

  • Required to have 1-3 years of experience in professional networking, switch and router deployment environment or a similar role. The hospitality industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience and advanced knowledge of networking, VOIP, and IPTV.
  • Experience in managing quality assurance and regression testing.
  • Proven ability to organize, write, and effectively present to small groups content related to playbooks and test reports.
  • Must have a strong interest in technical products and solutions.
  • Required to have demonstrated intermediate level PC skills with the ability to effectively operate within a Windows Operating System and Windows based programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams, and Project.
  • Maintains a high attention to detail, has strong time management skills, and can effectively work in a fast-paced environment associated with a rapidly changing product environment.
  • Proven intermediate level analytical skills to perform detailed regression testing and debugging procedures.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills (oral and written) in the English language.
  • Remains accountable to position duties and consistently demonstrates teamwork, and efforts to be a d trustworthy professional.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
